Prince Edward Island Signs Province-Wide Agreement for netTrekker d.i.

Thinkronize Continues Expansion into Canada with Leading K-12 Safe Search Tool, netTrekker d.i.

Cincinnati, OH, October 16, 2008 – All elementary school students in the Province of Prince Edward Island now have access to the #1 educational search tool for K-12 schools, netTrekker d.i.  Using netTrekker d.i., students and educators have fast and easy access to more than 300,000 educator-selected digital resources, aligned with provincial outcomes and expectations, that support and enhance the complete curricula. This is the first province-wide agreement Thinkronize, Inc., developer of netTrekker d.i., has signed with a Canadian department of education.

netTrekker d.i.’s safe and valuable digital resources are custom designed to help every child learn.  The Prince Edward Island (PEI) Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has purchased netTrekker d.i. for all of its elementary schools bringing netTrekker d.i. to 8600 students in 46 schools across the province.

According to Guy Albert, Education Technology Coordinator for the Prince Edward Island Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, “netTrekker d.i. permits students and teachers to surf the Internet for educational sites in a safe environment and we are pleased to offer it to all elementary students and teachers in the Province.  The decision to purchase netTrekker d.i. was based on the feedback from educators who piloted the product.  Teachers were very impressed with the ease of use, the search criteria and the selection of sites as well as the administrative tools that enable teachers to share information and monitor student use.”

“We are thrilled about our continued expansion into Canada and this first province-wide deal with Prince Edward Island’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development,” said Randy Wilhelm, CEO, Thinkronize, Inc.  “Currently over 100,000 Canadian students are searching safely with netTrekker d.i. and we hope to continue to add to that number.”
